STRUCTURAL DESIGN REQUIREMENTS FOR ALUMINUM ALLOY DIE CASTINGS
(1)Custom Aluminium Die Casting Shape and Structure Requirements:
a. Eliminate the internal side concave;
b. Minimize or eliminate core pulling parts for improved casting quality and precision.
c. Optimize die-casting structure to simplify manufacturing process, reduce costs, and enhance casting quality.
(2)Wall Thickness Requirements for Custom Aluminium Die Casting Design:
The wall thickness of die casting is a critical factor in the process. It is closely linked to the overall process specifications, such as filling time calculations, internal gate speed selections, solidification time estimations, mold temperature gradient analyses, the impact of pressure (final specific pressure), mold retention time lengths, casting ejection temperature heights, and operational efficiency considerations.
(3)Design Reinforcement Requirements for Custom Aluminium Die Casting:
The rib function is to enhance the strength and rigidity of the parts, particularly when the wall thickness is thinner, to prevent shrinkage deformation in custom aluminium die casting and to avoid workpiece deformation upon ejection from the mold. The thickness of the custom aluminium die casting bar should be less than the thickness of the wall, generally 2/3 to 3/4 of the wall thickness.
